I like the information a lot. The writing leaves something to be desired (fragments is right, the writing is very fragmented and quite amateurish - not sure who did the editing but it wasn't an English major). That aside, I love learning the history of places I visit, and this had a good amount of it.

Untold Fragments of Hawaii History and Chinatown eBook James Ho Reviews
love it
good book
Good, but disjointed history of early Chinatown in Hawaii. History I had not read about before. I will read more of his work
Brings back the old innocent days oh Hawaii. Nice book.
Some good info, but could use editing and proofreading.
a detailed but short version of the early history of Chinese settlers on the islands as told by someone who managed to rise up from a hard working laborer to being a wealthy businessman and prominent family.
Not a top ten novel but I enjoyed reading it mainly because I lived there and find any story entertaining and informative.
